Felix M. Tinkov
Mr. Tinkov attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he
earned his Bachelor degree in Biology in 1992. In 2000, he was
awarded a Master's degree in Biology from the University of California
at San Diego for work involving gene therapy, virology and
atherosclerosis. In 2004, Mr. Tinkov earned his Juris Doctorate
from the University of San Diego, where he received honors for his work
with the USD Land Use Clinic.
Mr.
Tinkov has worked for the San Diego City Attorney's Office in the Code
Enforcement Division where he helped prosecute slumlords and abate
public nuisances. Additionally, he was involved in creating an
educational presentation for the Neighborhood Code Compliance Officers
to aid in their determination of appropriate land uses.
Mr.
Tinkov then worked for San Diego Councilmember Donna Frye where he
advised Councilmember Frye on technology and land use-related issues.
His main effort was a compilation of the current and planned
projects in all of the District 6 communities in order to determine the
needs of the people.
Mr.
Tinkov joined Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak in September of
2004. He now specializes in land use, development, real estate,
environmental and municipal law. His practice ranges from the
development of large planned communities to assisting individual home
and small business owners with property disputes.
Mr.
Tinkov currently manages the San Diego Downtown Office for Lounsbery
Ferguson Altona & Peak.
Mr.
Tinkov is a founding member of the Escondido Charitable Foundation, an
affiliate of the San Diego Foundation, has been a board member of the
Downtown San Diego Rotaract organization, volunteering his time to
improve the community, and is a member of the California State and San
Diego County Bar Associations.
