Michael H. Wapner
Mr. Wapner attended California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) where in 1979, he earned a Political Science Degree, with a certification in Russian East European Studies. In 1981, Mr. Wapner earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration from CSULB’s Center for Public Policy.
Following a year in Washington D.C. with the U.S. Department of Transportation as a Program Analyst, Mr. Wapner returned to Southern California where he worked over 11 years for the City of Gardena, advancing to the position of Senior Administrative Assistant in the City Manager’s Office. His duties at the City of Gardena included intergovernmental relations and public policy analysis.
After earning his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in 1992, Mr. Wapner practiced civil law in Los Angeles County for two years prior to moving to Singapore with his family. While in Asia, Mr. Wapner advanced to the position of Associate Director for Corporate Services with the international property consultancy group Colliers Jardine. There, he was primarily responsible for assisting multi-national companies with site selection throughout Southeast Asia.
Upon returning to the United Sates, Mr. Wapner became Legal Counsel to Eagle Global Logistics, an international freight forwarder and logistics provider based in Houston where his practice included commercial transactions, contract negotiations, real estate, and business law.
Following his relocation to San Diego, Mr. Wapner joined Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak in January 2005. His practice has primarily focused on business law, transactions involving commercial landlord and tenant matters, and the purchase and sale of office, commercial and hotel properties.
Mr. Wapner is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Central District of California.
